Zuki’s Tail Injury Repair – Avoiding Amputation

Zuki, a 3-year-old Husky, was brought to our clinic with a severe tail injury exposing nerves. Instead of tail amputation, our experienced surgical team determined that tail reconstruction surgery was an option.

Through advanced surgical techniques and advanced wound management, we successfully repaired the injury.

Tail injuries in active breeds like Huskies can cause nerve damage, infection, and chronic pain. Early intervention with expert veterinary surgery improves recovery chances.

“I had such a wonderful experience here. They are up front and transparent about pricing and what can be done…He was super understanding and very open with everything he was doing from the start to finish. I would highly recommend coming here. They took such good care of our husky. He was also super patient and understanding of our dog’s behavioral issues. (She is a rescue, so she is afraid of men and very anxious / nervous).”

Diamond’s Life-Saving Emergency Pyometra Surgery

Diamond, an 8-year-old cat, arrived at our veterinary clinic in critical condition due to pyometra, a severe and life-threatening infection of the uterus.

Our experienced veterinary team quickly diagnosed Diamond’s condition and performed an emergency spay (ovariohysterectomy) to remove the infected uterus. Thanks to our advanced surgical expertise and post-operative critical care, Diamond made a full recovery and is now thriving.

This case highlights the importance of spaying female cats to prevent pyometra and other reproductive health risks. If your pet is showing signs of lethargy, vomiting, loss of appetite, excessive thirst, or a swollen abdomen, these could be symptoms of pyometra.

At our clinic, we provide emergency pet surgery, advanced diagnostics and urgent care to ensure your pet gets the best possible treatment.

“…I had given up hope on finding someone to help my cat with a very serious illness…I thought it was over.
Then I found Holly Vet Clinic…He arranged an appointment for my cat Diamond in the clinic right away.
Dr. Yong took exceptional care of Diamond and provided immense comfort to my family during this stressful time. He went above and beyond to save Diamond, not only getting her in immediately but also ensuring she came home. My family was truly blessed by Dr. Yong's empathy and dedication. Thank you! Dr. Yong, we sincerely appreciate you!”

Life-Saving Emergency Surgery for Makalani

Makalani, an 11-year-old cat, arrived at our emergency veterinary clinic with a piece of string lodged under his tongue, extending through his intestines. This caused intestinal intussusception, a life-threatening condition where the intestine telescopes into itself, leading to severe gastrointestinal issues.

Our expert veterinary surgeons performed an emergency foreign body removal and corrective intestinal surgery. Though he initially recovered well, Makalani developed postoperative ileus (lack of gut motility), requiring additional care. With advanced diagnostics—including ultrasound, X-rays, and bloodwork—we closely monitored his recovery and provided specialized treatment.

Thanks to timely intervention and expert post-surgical care, Makalani made a full recovery. Early detection of foreign objects in cats is critical to preventing severe complications.

Luna’s Life-Saving Surgery for Multiple Gastrointestinal Obstructions

Luna, a 1-year-old Toy Poodle, was referred to our veterinary clinic as an emergency case for multiple gastrointestinal obstructions. She had ingested multiple foreign objects—clothing material and stones—which caused a severe blockage in her intestines, putting her life at risk.

Our experienced surgical team quickly performed an emergency foreign body removal surgery to clear the obstruction and prevent further complications. Luna made a full recovery.

Foreign body ingestion is a common but dangerous condition in dogs, especially in young and curious breeds like Toy Poodles. Symptoms of obstruction include vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and lethargy. If your dog is showing these signs, seek emergency veterinary care immediately to avoid life-threatening complications.

“I will recommend this clinic to everyone I know, they’re very professional and truly care about your pets well being. My 10 month old puppy needed surgery and after taking her to the emergency and being quoted an outrageous amount and calling every other vet in the area to take her in and having no spots available I thought she wasn’t going to make it. The doctor did everything in his power to take her in and save her, and thanks to them she’s back to her playful self and will be able to spend her first Christmas with us. Truly grateful for everyone that works at this clinic and will continue to bring my Luna here for any medical needs!”
